Dieng | "We need to keep the momentum going"

Squad is together and ready to tackle the business end of the season, says Tim Dieng.

Timothée Dieng says that 'nothing is impossible' ahead of Gillingham's play-off battle, which continues against Salford on Saturday.

The French midfield-enforcer is plotting a successful end to the season with the Kent side only being kept out of the top seven due to an inferior goal difference.

"We have had some good results so we need to keep the momentum going," said Dieng. "I think we have all it takes to get into the play-offs. We just need to work hard in training and produce on game day. I am confident we can do it.

"We have got quality in every position and on the bench. The players on the pitch know they have to produce or they will get benched for the next game. There is competition in every position. I know that if I don't produce then I will be on the bench, which is fair. That's a good thing for the group and the squad.

"We have a good group and everyone is close, it is similar to the Exeter team I was promoted with. We are going to war together and we will battle on the pitch. We want to work hard for each other.

"We just need to keep taking it game by game and just keep trying to win the next one. We will see on the 27th of April where we are.

"Salford will be a tough game, just like every game in League Two this season. We have worked hard this week and have trained well, we have a lot of confidence from last Saturday. We are looking to go there, put in a good performance and come home with three points."
