Gills launch commemorative away strip.
The Football Club has launched its away kit ahead of the 2024/25 Sky Bet League 2 campaign.
Celebrating the 25th anniversary season since the Gills were promoted to the Championship via the play-offs, our away kit replicates the one worn at Wembley in May 2000 where Andy Thomson's late header in extra-time sealed victory for Peter Taylor's side.
On the day Wigan played in their home kit, with Gills having to wear their alternate strip, and the club has decided to manufacture a commemorative special edition kit to mark the occasion.
Within the collar you will find the scoreline from the day and all 16 players that were named in the squad.
These will be available for season ticket holders to buy on Friday May 31 in an exclusive event (in store only), with strips going on general sale at 9am on Saturday June 1. These will be available in person with the shop open between 9am and 1pm. Online purchases will also be available.
