Ex-Arsenal and England midfielder, Ray Parlour, will be visiting Priestfield in May and we have confirmed Steve Lovell and Iffy Onuora as Gills special guests!
We are delighted to announce that Steve Lovell and Iffy Onuora will be the Gills legends ahead of our Sportsman Dinner chat with Ray Parlour at Priestfield on Thursday May 30.
Parlour, now 51, represented England on ten occasions and was one of the "invincibles" when Arsenal went the entire 2003-04 league season without losing a game. He is a three-time Premier League winner, four time FA-Cup winner, a League Cup winner and a UEFA Cup runner-up.
He also won the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1994. He was voted Arsenal's "Player of the Year" following the conclusion of the 1997-98 season.
Parlour joined Arsenal in 1989 as a trainee and made his first-team debut three years later against Liverpool. He went on to play 470 times for the Gunners, scoring 32 times before joining Middlesbrough in the summer of 2004. After nearly three years at the Riverside, Parlour joined Hull in February 2007 and played 15 times.
He now works in the media, being a regular pundit on Talksport.
Steve Lovell played and managed Gills during his career with Iffy Onuora winning promotion with the club, starting in the 3-2 win over Wigan at Wembley in 2000.
