As for Doncaster, manager Grant McCann has revealed there is some illness around the camp. Billy Sharp could be involved along with new signings - Ethan Ennis, Rob Street and Charlie Crew.

Manager Comments:

John Coleman – “Hopefully we can show signs of improvement; I would like to see us attack more and score more goals, making more chances. It’s everything that a fan wants to see – I am a fan, well by tea-time I am – I want to be enthralled and I want us to excite our fans!

“I cannot wait for Saturday to come… first game in a new job, but it’s been like riding a bike, done it for so long that we have clicked straight back into it.”

Grant McCann - "We've got one or two illnesses and those players have missed training. One player missed yesterday and then the same player and another missed training today [Thursday] so we'll see how they are.

“Whether they'll be fit for the weekend, I'm not sure. But this is why we have a squad."

Previous Meetings:

The clubs have met on 75 previous occasions and Gills hold the advantage in the head-to-head statistics with 37 wins to 17.

The most recent meeting between the clubs was the reverse league game at the Eco-Power Stadium. Donny won 1-0 thanks to a goal from veteran, Billy Sharp.

Gills last win over Rovers was in April 2023 when a solitary goal from Tom Nichols was enough to give the hosts all three points at Priestfield.
