MK Dons v Gillingham
Sky Bet League 2
Stadium MK
Saturday December 14
Kick-Off, 3pm
Team News:
Aaron Rowe and Bradley Dack are both pushing for starting places having trained all week without further injury setbacks. However, Armani Little is likely to sit out along with Tim Dieng, Joe Gbode and Oli Hawkins.
Sam Gale was recalled earlier in the week and is eligible for selection. Harry Webster is likely to travel having made his league debut against Salford last Saturday.
Jake Turner has trained and is set to be a part of the squad.
As for MK Dons, Joe Tomlinson and MJ Williams remain sidelined. Otherwise, manager Scott Lindsey has a fully fit squad to select from.
Manager Comments:
Scott Lindsey - “We've trained really well and I'm really pleased with how we're looking. They're desperate to go out there any play again, so we can't wait to kick-off. The whole group are in the starting blocks and ready to go.”
Mark Bonner - “If you could pair a manager with a team, it's probably the perfect pairing. Scott's gone in and the run of form since he's been there has been excellent.
“They are the form team. I think anyone who finishes above them will get promoted because I do think they'll be right at the top of it and I think they'll strengthen again in January and only get better and stronger as they go."
Previous Meetings:
In total the clubs have met on 24 previous occasions. MK Dons edge the head-to-head statistics having won ten games to nine. The most recent fixture took place in January of 2024 when goals from Alex Gilbey and MJ Williams gave MK Dons a comfortable lead at Stadium MK.
Josh Walker pulled a goal back in stoppage time but the hosts held out for the points in a 2-1 victory.
Gills haven't won at MK Dons since March 2014 when a solitary goal from Craig Fagan was enough to clinch a 1-0 triumph.
