Swindon Town v Gillingham

Sky Bet League 2

The County Ground

Saturday October 26, 2024

Kick-Off, 3pm

Team News:

Mark Bonner will be without Max Clark as the left back serves a one-match ban for accumulating his fifth yellow card of the season against Newport during the week.

Armani Little could make a return to the squad but George Lapslie and Joe Gbode are doubts having picked up knocks on Tuesday night.

Josh Andrews is back in training but the game may come too soon for him.

As for Swindon, they named Ian Holloway as their new manager on Friday and changes could be made as a result. Former Gills defender, Will Wright, joined the club over the summer and is likely to start.

Manager Comments:

Ian Holloway [Swindon’s new manager]"I want to be able to bring everyone together to deliver success and positivity on and off the pitch.”

Mark Bonner – “Anyone can beat anyone (in the league). We can beat anyone but anyone can beat us and a run of consecutive bad results means you can drop places quite quickly, but the reverse is also true.

“When we were in a really good position in the league, I wasn't a genius and we weren't a complete team, and now that we've slipped to 11th and we're on a run of defeats, I'm not hopeless and neither is the team.

“The truth is always somewhere in the middle.”
