Three members of the Gills development team have gone out on loan
With a number of recent loan signings arriving at MEMS Priestfield Stadium to boost Peter Taylor’s first team squad, the Gills manager has allowed three of the club’s younger professionals to head out on loan to aid their first team development.Promising young centre-half Devante McKain has agreed a move back to his former club Maidenhead United. The defender played as a second-half substitute in the Gills defeat at Crawley earlier this season and it will be the second time that the 19 year-old has spent time on loan with the Skrill South club since signing with the Gills a year ago.
Another youngster with first team experience is attacking midfielder Kane Haysman who debuted in the Gills final fixture of the 2012/13 campaign, away at Burton Albion. Kane has returned to Skrill South team Sutton United, having enjoyed a successful stint at Gander Green Lane earlier this season.
The trio is completed by development team striker Tom Derry who started the season with an impressive loan spell at Chelmsford City. Derry, who joined the Gills in August following his release from Charlton Athletic, has joined Eastbourne Borough of the Skrill South league.
