GILLS CAPTURE SIGNING OF LUKE NORRIS

Gillingham FC add to forward options with the signing of Luke Norris from Brentford

Gills have added to their forward options with the capture of former Brentford striker Luke Norris.

The 21-year-old made four first team appearances for the Bees since joining the club's youth programme in 2010 and scored one goal, that coming in a Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against AFC Wimbledon last September.

He has had three loan spells, the first of which for Boreham Wood where he found the net three times in seven outings.

Last season, following his goal in the JPT, he went to League Two side Northampton where his goal scoring form was impressive.

He scored five goals in 12 appearances before returning to West London in late December 2013.

Shortly after he was on the move again, this time to Dagenham & Redbridge where again he impressed.

On this occasion he scored four times in 19 matches - all fixtures resulting in a draw.

Norris has agreed a two-year deal at MEMS Priestfield Stadium having turned down a new deal with Brentford.

The two clubs are currently negotiating a compensation package for the player.
