Peter Taylor says the club have signed a promising young centre-back in Kortney Hause after agreeing a youth loan deal for the player.

Hause, 19, joins the club from Wolverhampton Wanderers until January 4 and Peter hopes all parties benefit from his spell at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.

He said: “Kortney is somebody that I’ve known for a while – he started at West Ham, ended up at Wycombe – keeps a good friend of mine out of the team and then Wolves come in and buy him.

“I think they feel as though they have signed an excellent young centre half/left back.

“He can handle the ball; he’s a good footballer, left footed and very quick and strong. He’s a powerful boy and only 19 which is the risk side of things for us as we have another young one, but if you talk to him or John Egan you don’t feel you are talking to someone that young.

“He’s a confident boy who knows what he has to do, he knows it’s a short step in his career which he can get a lot out of and we hope we all benefit.”

A full video interview with Peter regarding the signing will be available shortly.
