“I haven’t given him that chance, he nearly went to Woking on loan but he didn’t. He decided to stay and have a go, and I have to say every day he’s been training he has done well.
“He has looked quite dangerous in finishing exercises, that doesn’t mean you have the finished article on the pitch but he has done absolutely nothing wrong.
“I’m really pleased for him and I mentioned to him on Friday when I named the squad that he’s one player who would have done better away at Bristol City in the first half for how much he wanted to be there.”
