HADLER JOINS GLOUCESTER CITY ON LOAN

Gills boss allows keeper to go out on loan.

Tom Hadler has signed for Gloucester City on loan until January 1.

The 21-year-old has been a regular in Gills first team squad this season but in search of first team football has re-joined Gloucester, having had a loan spell with the club during the 2015/16 campaign.

The keeper suffered with a hip injury last season but on his return has challenged both Tomas Holy and Stuart Nelson for the number one jersey, but with Steve Arnold having now joined the goalkeeping setup, Hadler has decided to get some games under his belt.

Head Coach Ady Pennock said: “We felt it was important Tom went out to get some games. He has been a very dedicated professional during my time at the club and we believed we owed him the chance to go out and make a name for himself before coming back and challenging our current keepers once again.”

Hadler is eligible to make his debut tomorrow against Hemel Hempstead Town.
