Deal done for Reilly.
Gillingham have clinched the signing of Callum Reilly on a two-year contract.
The former Birmingham City man was on loan at Priestfield for the second half of the 2017/18 season from Bury and the midfielder impressed the management staff sufficiently to go back in for the player over the summer break.
Reilly made 15 appearances for the Gills last season, putting in some excellent performances alongside Mark Byrne on a number of occasions and on Tuesday the 24-year-old put pen to paper on a permanent deal which ensures he stays at ME7 until the summer of 2020.
Manager Steve Lovell said: “One of my main priorities over the summer was to bring Callum back to the club in a permanent capacity. He was excellent for us on loan last season and I’m delighted we are going to be working together for the next two years.”
Callum added: “I’m delighted to have signed on a permanent basis; I really enjoyed my time here earlier in the year and I’m now looking to build on that and push on.”
An interview with Callum will appear on iFollow later in the week.
