Jermaine McGlashan joins coaching setup at Priestfield

Jermaine McGlashan returns to ME7.

The club is delighted to announce the appointment of Jermaine McGlashan as part of the Premier League’s and PFA’s Player to Coach scheme.

The new wide-ranging role will see McGlashan, who played for Gillingham between 2014 and 2016, coach work across all age groups within the academy, working alongside Bryan Bull, Keith Millen, Mark Moss and other staff.

Garth Crooks, who is working alongside the Premier League and PFA, spoke to the club website a few weeks ago ahead of Jermaine’s appointment to explain the scheme and how it works for professional clubs.

Jermaine has begun work within the academy and will also be present at some U18 and `B` team fixtures.

Academy manager, Bryan Bull, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Jermaine back to Priestfield in a coaching capacity. He knows the club well, impressed during his interview and is a very good coach to come in and help support the work of Mark Moss and Keith Millen and our other staff, while also developing his own range of attributes and experiences.”

During his time as a player at Priestfield, Jermaine made 67 appearances and scored seven goals.
